PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act (EPCRA) and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting is required by Executive Order.  In order to comply, the Station provides site-specific information on hazardous chemicals and releases of toxic chemicals to federal, state and local emergency planning committees.

  • Section 302: Initial written report w/updates as may be required.
  • Section 304: Immediate verbal release notification with written follow-up report required.
  • Section 311: Initial written report w/updates as may be required.
  • Section 312: Annual report.

When developing the Station's Toxic Release Inventory report, the following practices are primary influences;

OBJECTIVES-TARGETS-ACTIONS TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE
As part of our commitment, all projects, planning and POA&Ms are tracked, followed and resolved using the Marine Corps' WEBCASS at https://www.usmcenviron.com/webcass/WelcomePage.aspx.
AUDIT AND EVALUATION OF COMPLIANCE
Annual EMS audits will verify that all tenants use a hazardous material authourized use list, and that all HM used aboard MCAS Miramar is captured for Toxic Release Inventory data calculations.
